Trail Ride and Camp out – 3&4th November

It’s back! After a few years hiatus, the Gawler Mcc is proud to bring back it’s trail ride and camp out.

This years trail ride will be meeting at the club rooms at 7:30am on Saturday 3rd November for a 9:00am start and is open to club members, families and friends.

You will be required to hold a road motorcycle license and ride a registered bike.

Saturdays ride will be about 270km with fuel stops approx. every 100km at petrol stations (Kersbrook, Truro & Eudunda).

Sunday will be slightly shorter at 220km (fuel at  Clare).

The ride will be on public dirt and dry weather roads.  A back up vehicle will be following with emergency fuel and supplies.

The camp out part will be held at our Presidents block up at Marrabel. Everyone is more than welcome to meet us there and camp the night. Kids and families are more than welcome to attend and camp the night, however kids unfortunately won’t get the opportunity to ride.

The cost is $30.00, which includes an honorary MA License, Dinner and Breakfast. Camping is free.

Please register for this event HERE

A vehicle will be taking anything you need direct to the camp ground, so don’t forget your swag, grog, chair and munchies.

Any questions please feel free to give Anton a Call 0412394592 or events@gawlermcc.com.au

Also anyone with a bike mounted gps please contact organizers.

Sprint Enduro – 2nd September – Tarlee

The quiet northern rural town of Tarlee will come alive with the sound motorbikes as the Gawler Motorcycle Club runs a Closed to Club Sprint Enduro on Sunday 2nd September.

The course is an 8-10 minute loop consisting of open areas, hills, creeks, rock shelves and light scrub areas.

The smaller juniors will run on a smaller loop with a couple of diversions around the major obstacles. For the competitors who aren’t overly keen on the harder challenges, there will be the appropriate “chicken lines” to ensure all riders enjoy the day and the course presented. Competitive racing is open to junior and senior riders who will sweat it out on a sprint track where every second will count to stay on top of the competition. The Gawler Motorcycle Club will also offer a non-competitive class for juniors. This allows juniors to race at a lower cost when trying out the sport. Riders will race several heats throughout the course of the day.

Racing starts from 10:00am after a riders briefing.

For those wanting to enter the event, entries are open until the 29th August via the club website.

Catering and toilet facilities are available and spectating is FREE. Further information will be available on www.gawlermcc.com.au prior to the event with maps showing how to get to the venue.
